VTH and VTHR Single Phase Voltage Transducers

VTH and VTHR Single Phase Voltage Transducers

The VTH and VTHR voltage transducers convert DC or AC voltage to an isolated voltage or current loop output. The VTH models cover a range from 50mV to 500Vrms, with fast response capabilities, while the VTHR models offer true RMS conversion across a frequency range of DC to 10kHz. The sensors are available in AC only or AC + DC configurations, making them versatile for various industrial applications.

These transducers are ideal for voltage monitoring in systems such as DC drives, process control, rail transportation, and circuit breaker trip coils. The input voltage is isolated and converted to a DC output, ensuring high accuracy and safety in monitoring tasks.

For all models, NIST/NPL/UKAS traceable calibration certificates and certificates of conformance are available.
Key Features:

Input Voltage Ranges: From 0.333V to 600V (AC or DC).

Mounting Options: DIN rail or screw fixing.

Safety and Installation Guidelines:

Ensure personnel are trained and familiar with electric shock and fire hazards associated with electrical systems.
Always isolate the test circuit before connecting the VTH transducers.
Use safety-rated cables for connection, with insulated connections to prevent accidental contact.
Verify that the VTH output is properly grounded.
Do not exceed the maximum differential input voltage of 1000V peak.
The use of overcurrent protection is advised during testing.
Avoid mechanical stress on probe terminals during installation.
Ensure clean, dry operating conditions to prevent risks of explosion or environmental damage.

Applications:

DC Drives: Voltage monitoring for safe and efficient operation.
Process Control: Measurement and monitoring in various control systems.
Rail Transportation: Monitoring of voltage in traction and auxiliary systems.
Circuit Breaker Trip Coils: Accurate voltage measurement to ensure proper circuit operation.
Energy Management Systems: Used for monitoring voltage in switchboards, generators, and telemetry control.
