Teseq releases High Power Amplifier Suitable for EMC

Teseq has released a new Class A RF High Power Amplifier, the CBA 1G-275. The new CBA 1G-275 broadband, 275 watt, 56 dB gain amplifier operates in the bandwidth from 80 MHz to 1 GHz. It packs more punch with an additional 25 watts output compared to its predecessor and is smaller in size 6U case (19 inch), and 550 mm deep compared to the 10U high CBA 1G-250 it replaces. The Teseq amplifier uses high reliability gallium arsenide semiconductor technology to provide low distortion linear performance across the frequency range. Typically harmonics are below 20 dBc.
This is particularly important as antennas generally have lower gains at low frequency thus requiring increased power. The Teseq CBA 1G-275 amplifier is specifically designed for operation under mismatch conditions even when faced with open circuit or short circuit conditions.
The gallium arsenide technology employed in the Teseq amplifier overcomes the relatively low compression characteristics and low efficiency associated with silicon amplifier components. The typical compression ratio 2 dB data is provided as specified by IEC 61000-4-3.
